After the Polish defeat in 1939 the Polish pistol "Pistolet wz. 35 Vis" were in large quantities in German hands. The Germans took the Radom Armory factory and produced the pistol under the new name of 9mm Pistole P35 (p), which is shown as P35 (p) (the suffix "p" means "polnische"). Until 1945 were produced between 312,000 and 380,000 pieces and used by German paratroopers and police.
